5 Beautifully Decorated Ceremony Altars

We’ve never seen the same ceremony decor twice and are always amazed at the different ideas our brides have when it comes to designing their altar pieces. These are five altars we saw this year and loved!

  • This copper pipe altar was light enough that it could be transported to reception during cocktail hour. The colorful florals on both sides brightened the modern tubing and matched the bridesmaids’ bouquets. Wild greenery grew from the top to the bottom of the altar, giving the piece dimension while also hiding the weights stabilizing it.

  • A darker wood lends itself to a more natural look that matched the surrounding trees. A pop of color comes through with a smaller cluster of floral blooms and greenery, brightening the look.

  • This modern square copper altar was also moved to reception and utilized as a backdrop for the cake table. The blooms in the globes hanging from the altar were seen in the rest of the wedding’s floral elements, smaller matching copper pieces flanked the bottom.

  • This large wooden arch was softened with white draping, and the large floral piece along the top added drama to this gorgeous set-up! Lanterns at the base of the altar and down the ceremony were moved to reception for decor once the sun set.

  • Stringing carnations (an ombre effect is a gorgeous detail!) along a birch altar made for a pretty whimsical look that swung beautifully in the wind!
