When ordering, you do not need one for every person on your guest list, only one per household. This is a common mistake and will leave you with lots of extras!
On that point, order extras- They will get lost in the mail, the dog will eat them, and mom will most certainly add more names to your guestlist.
Send your save the dates out between 6 and 9 months before your wedding. Anything earlier than that and your guests tend to lose it.
When choosing a photo, try to pick one where you can see both of your faces. Your favorite photo may be epic, but your guests will love to see the two of your faces.
