Boho-Book Lover Backyard Wedding

High school sweethearts, Nina and Dane, got married on a gorgeous summer day in the backyard of Dane’s childhood home. Throughout the entire planning process, they wanted to honor their families and involve them in every aspect. Nina incorporated her Obachan’s (Japanese for Grandmother) brooch onto her bouquet so she could keep her grandmother close to her all day. She continued a beloved family tradition, observed by her sister before her, by wearing her mother’s veil. Dane wanted to incorporate chairs that had belonged to his grandparents, which were placed at their sweetheart table. Not only were they special and sentimental, they matched the navy and sage color scheme perfectly! The groom, who always has a book in hand, inspired much of the decor such as book pages for the photo-booth wall, books placed at the altar and sweetheart table, the seating chart, and the cones which held the eucalyptus leaves for the recessional toss. Those details mixed with the lush pampas grass, blue thistle, and eucalyptus was simply magical! To end the night, there were food trucks, Dippin’ Dots, and delicious personalized cookies!
