Bunches of Bliss...Bubbles, Baubles and Bits of Wedding Sunshine

Browsing the topic style

Recently, A Touch of Bliss was privileged enough to be invited to join the dream team of Revert PhotoMakeup by Janine, and Bella Fiori Events in a contest sponsored by Elizabeth Anne Designs and The Sweetest Occasion. The Inspired Creations contest was simple, yet ohhh-so-complicated. All we needed to do was come up with a unique wedding concept and put our ideas into action by creating a sample vignette showcasing our design for under $500 and plan it among five insanely busy schedules… Easy, right?

Surprisingly, YES! Working with such great teammates made brainstorming and completion of our concept a breeze! It was a dream to work with so many creative personalities and the results (if we do say so ourselves) turned out just lovely.  But most of all, we hope that our concept of finding wedding inspiration in your own home will help all those brides and grooms out there who are still looking for their wedding “style”. After all, home is where the ♥ is.

Take a peek below to see a few of the images from our (hopefully, winning) entry! Oh, and p.s.  if you like it, leave some love in our comments or on Elizabeth Anne Designs and The Sweetest Occasion!!!

How can you tell that two people are in love?

From a stolen glance during a meeting to the slight change in voice when they talk about each other, we at A Touch of Bliss have been lucky enough to experience these small signs of affection a countless number of times throughout the years. Our meeting with bride-to-be and Colorado native, Katie was no different.  Just take a peek at some of our favorite photos pulled from Katie and Troy’s engagement shoot, taken in their hometown of LA, California by the ever-so-talented photography team Andrew & Jessica Photography. Just take one look at these two and feel the love.

A Touch of Bliss

Two things:

1) I think we need a different acronym for Save-The-Dates than STD

2) I realized this after re-reading my first attempt at a title for this post and saw that it said “STD LOVE”.  That, my friends, is a completely different kind of blog!!!

What I am about to show you is nothing but class, elegance and a bit of quirkiness. Mr. Boddington’s Studio is an eccentric little shop set in the middle of bustling New York City where the elusive Mr. Boddington (be sure to read his bio on the website) comes up with the most adorable, personable and unique correspondence a gal (or guy!) could ask for.  Check below for some lovely inspiration through some recent STD’s …Save-The-Dates of his.  (Hint: The rest of the blog is CHOCK-FULL of exceptionally gorgeous wedding inspiration! So read on!)

Thanks to my dear friend and designer back home, Allie for pointing us towards this prettiness!

THE Dress can be different for everybody. It can be long, lacy, pouffy, sleek, white, ivory… maybe even aqua blue chiffon if that’s what suits you. But out of allllll the beautiful wedding dresses out there to choose from, it can be a little overwhelming trying to pick just one! Here, Priscilla of Boston has created a profile quiz to help you narrow down your own style and therefore make the wedding gown shopping a little easier as well. Going in with some ideas of what makes you feel like you will help oodles when searching through all that silk, tulle, taffeta and lace (and even the aqua blue chiffon).

Priscilla says I’m a “classic” bride (go figure). What are you??

Today we salute brides who think outside of the box- they take risks with their important day, and it pays off in a very big way. Unique color palettes, fresh details, and ideas we haven’t seen anywhere else! Below are a few of our favorite risk takers we’ve come across lately, photos courtesy of Vintage Glam Weddings, Style Me Pretty, and Pearl Events Blog.
