We were fortunate to be able to give our input in the new Brides Colorado Spring/Summer 2010 issues if creative ceremony ideas! Our ideas included:
“Choose readings from your favorite childhood book,” says Kerri Butler of A Touch of Bliss. “Authors like Dr, Seuss and Shel Silverstein are popular. Guests love the nostalgic charm of these passages, and it’s a way for couples to include material that’s close to their hearts is more traditional selections aren’t the right fit!”
“In order to remember close family member who’ve passed away, I often suggest that couples leave an empty seat at the ceremony, with a single flower placed on it”, says Kerri, “It’s a sweet, beautiful way to pay respect to those who couldn’t be with you.”
Save-The-Date LOVE

1) I think we need a different acronym for Save-The-Dates than STD
2) I realized this after re-reading my first attempt at a title for this post and saw that it said “STD LOVE”. That, my friends, is a completely different kind of blog!!!
What I am about to show you is nothing but class, elegance and a bit of quirkiness. Mr. Boddington’s Studio is an eccentric little shop set in the middle of bustling New York City where the elusive Mr. Boddington (be sure to read his bio on the website) comes up with the most adorable, personable and unique correspondence a gal (or guy!) could ask for. Check below for some lovely inspiration through some recent STD’s …Save-The-Dates of his. (Hint: The rest of the blog is CHOCK-FULL of exceptionally gorgeous wedding inspiration! So read on!)
Thanks to my dear friend and designer back home, Allie for pointing us towards this prettiness!
VOWS is so excited to partner with Channel Two’s Everyday show for our Dream Wedding Giveaway! If you are a couple in Colorado, please apply here for the wedding of your dreams, donated by the vendors of VOWS.

Real Wedding ~ Lisa and Bill’s Glittering Winter Wonderland
3 Comments | Filed under Real Wedding white winter weddingWe had the honor of assisting Lisa and Bill with their sparkling winter wonderland contemporary wedding – they selected an urban setting with Holy Ghost Church as their ceremony, and the Magnolia Ballroom as their reception backdrop.
Amazing florals were designed by the talented Plum Sage Flowers, the colors are so rich and exciting!
These stunning photos are the work of L’Amour De Vie Photography, set against the urban backdrop of LODO.
The Magnolia ballroom was set with glittering silver tabletops, and silver branches in mirrored vases. Purple and pink lighting greeted guests, and the bride’s paper details were shining!
The bride and groom (with a little help from us!) surprised all of their guests with an performance from a 20-piece Irish bagpipe and dance troup!
We send Lisa and Bill all the love and happiness in their new marriage – love is sweet!

Leave a comment | Filed under Attire Couture Dress Fashion brides chic wedding whiteI found this gorgeous wedding gown by Pricilla of Boston from my favorite collection “Vineyard”

THE Dress can be different for everybody. It can be long, lacy, pouffy, sleek, white, ivory… maybe even aqua blue chiffon if that’s what suits you. But out of allllll the beautiful wedding dresses out there to choose from, it can be a little overwhelming trying to pick just one! Here, Priscilla of Boston has created a profile quiz to help you narrow down your own style and therefore make the wedding gown shopping a little easier as well. Going in with some ideas of what makes you feel like you will help oodles when searching through all that silk, tulle, taffeta and lace (and even the aqua blue chiffon).
